Hi, I’m Dottie! In the 30-plus years I’ve been at PPRI I have led lots of projects. My most impactful work has focused on reform of the school discipline and criminal justice systems. But prevention and program evaluation is also important. I am proud to be able to bring my experience and research skills to evaluate the TYAN project!

The evaluation team works with TYAN program staff to measure whether our work with community organizations is making a difference for young people. So far, evaluation results show that when youth take chances and explore new things in partnership with caring adults they develop positive attributes and resiliency that prepare them for success in life.

In person, I am a major nerd. I love reading and learning about new things – but I also try to remember to move my feet at least three times a week! My husband owns an ice company, and we have two adult sons. One is a nuclear engineer and the other a YouTuber. Go figure!
