Howdy!
I am an associate research scientist at the Public Policy Research Institute (PPRI) at Texas A&M University, a visiting Scientist at the Center for Health Data Science and Analytics at Houston Methodist Research Institute, a research fellow at the IZA Institute of Labor Economics and Economic Research Forum (ERF). I was also an Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics at The American University of Sharjah (2007 to 2014) in the United Arab Emirates. I am from Lebanon and earned a Ph.D. in Economics in 2007 from Texas A&M University. My area of expertise is applied econometrics with applications to labor economics including criminal justice, education, migration, and public health. For TYAN, I am responsible for the research component. I help manage and compile the data, so we can publish work related to youth-adult partnerships. Working on the TYAN project has been such a joy, and the team that has been put together to tackle this project is incredible. Working with all the TYAN staff as a team is my favorite part of this project. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with family and traveling. I’m also fluent in 3 languages and love meeting new people!
