Since 2000, the state of Colorado has convened a youth advisory council to ensure youth ages 13-19 are included in the programs and policies that affect them.
Oregon Youth Participatory Action Research Focused on Mental Health
School-based health centers and youth-serving organizations across the state were awarded funds to participate in a pilot project to implement a Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) project focused on mental health using the YPAR Curriculum. Projects ran from February – June 2015. Their evaluation report describes the training and technical assistance provided to sites, as well as successes, challenges, and key learnings for future implementation.
